Beartooth frontman Caleb Shomo and his wife have ended their marriage after the musician publicly came out as gay.
Shomo, 33, and his wife, Fleur Shomo, have mutually agreed to dissolve their 14-year marriage, according to a July 13 filing in the Los Angeles Superior Court obtained by USA TODAY. The pair married in April 2012 and have no children.
The metalcore rocker came out in a May 23 Instagram post, where he said he was "a proudly gay man."
"This is something I've been unpacking and reckoning with in my life for quite some time now. It's been difficult to navigate the feelings surrounding the subject and figure out what to do with this fact," he wrote.

Fleur Shom addressed her husband's announcement in her own statement on Instagram, also on May 23, calling the period "very disorienting and hurtful" for both of them but clarifying that she "will always want to love, protect and support Caleb."

During a June 10 episode of the "Disrespectfully" podcast, the "In Between" singer opened up about the conversation coming out to Fleur.
"I was just bawling my … eyes out, trying so hard to verbalize, and I really struggle to verbalize things," he said. "I'm a verbal processor, and this is obviously such an intense thing, and I'm feeling so nervous and so scared in this situation that it was really, really difficult to verbalize, and I didn't verbalize it very well. I tried my best."
He said he felt there was "someone else in there who was the real me," and he recounted the revelation that he had to do something about it despite feeling "terrified."
"I was in the shower, trying to talk myself into saying something I had been many times. Thankfully, I kind of smacked myself in the face [and said], 'It's … time,'" he said. "And I said something to my then-wife about how I feel about men, and how I've never really allowed myself to explore this, but I have to tell you, I can't not. And it was just a road from there."
He said he received a "mixed" response after coming out, adding, "Some people are here for it, some people aren't."
Since founding Beartooth in 2012, the rock band has released five studio albums, with a new one, "Pure Ecstasy," set to drop in August, with the title track and two other singles available to stream now.
