Stephen Baldwin is chasing a different kind of calling.

The "Flintstones" actor, 60, opened up about his decision to step back from fame in a People magazine interview on Aug. 2. The youngest brother of Daniel, William and Alec Baldwin characterized at least part of his falling back from Hollywood as a way to free himself from industry expectations.

"I probably could have pointed myself in the direction of becoming a big star. But that wasn't me," he told the outlet.

"I didn't want to be Tom Cruise, and have to make $100 million at the box office. I'd rather be a schmuck from Massapequa," he added, referring to the suburban area in Long Island, New York City, where the Baldwins are from. "I'm good at that!"
